Cash & Bank screen

See every money account's live balance in one place, review the transactions that moved it, and move money between accounts with contra.

The Cash & Bank screen is your money dashboard: every payment account with its current balance, and the transactions behind each figure.

What it shows

  • Balances — cash-in-hand, each bank account, UPI, card, wallet.
  • Transactions — the receipts, payments and bills that moved each account, so a balance is never a mystery.
  • Contra — the button to move money between two of your own accounts.

Everyday uses

  • Check cash-in-hand before closing the counter.
  • Reconcile a bank account against the passbook.
  • Deposit cash to the bank, or move money between banks, via contra.

How money gets here

You rarely post to these accounts directly — they fill up from normal work:

  • Paid bills add to the chosen account.
  • Supplier payments and expenses reduce an account.
  • Customer receipts add to an account.

The Cash & Bank screen just brings all of that together in one view.

To move money between two of your accounts (cash → bank), use Contra — it keeps sales and expenses untouched, recording only the internal transfer.
