Day Book, Trial Balance & Ledger statement
The three reports your CA asks for — a chronological Day Book, a balancing Trial Balance, and a per-ledger statement — all generated from your data.
Storeflea's accounting hub gives you the standard Tally reports without any extra data entry — they're built from the bills, purchases and payments you already recorded.
Day Book
A chronological list of every voucher — sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journals, contras — for a date or date range. It's the "what happened today (or this week)" view, useful for a quick daily review or to find a specific entry.
Trial Balance
A snapshot of every ledger's balance, grouped, with total debits equal to total credits. If it balances (it always should), your books are internally consistent. It's the starting point your accountant uses for the P&L and Balance Sheet, and the fastest way to spot something posted oddly.
Ledger statement
The full history of a single ledger — one customer, one supplier, a bank, an expense — with a running balance. Use it to explain how any account reached its current figure, or to share a party's statement.
How to use them
- Daily: glance at the Day Book.
- Monthly / at filing: export the Trial Balance for your CA.
- On a query: open the Ledger statement for the account in question.
Because everything posts automatically as you work, these reports are always up to date — no closing routine needed to see them.
Availability: part of the gated Accounting feature, on the Main branch for a multi-shop account (the books cover the whole business).
Frequently asked
Does Storeflea have a Trial Balance and Day Book like Tally?
Yes. The accounting hub provides a Day Book (every voucher in date order), a Trial Balance (all ledger balances, grouped and balancing), and a Ledger statement (one account's full history with a running balance). They're generated from your bills, purchases and payments — no extra entry.
Can I give my accountant reports from Storeflea?
Yes. Export the Trial Balance and ledger statements for your CA. Since postings happen automatically as you bill and pay, the reports are always current without a month-end closing routine.
